The Association of Private Security Managers in BiH is a NGO comprised of private security managers and others parties employed and engaged in the security sector. The Association has been founded with the purpose to make an improvement in regulating the private
security sector in BiH in accordance with modern legal and ethical standards. The founders are graduated criminologists from Sarajevo University, BiH.

Main Goals and Tasks of the Association:

General

• Representing and protection of members' interests as well as interest of all
  practitioners in the field of private security.
• Coordination of efforts of the Association’s Members engaged in activities in the areas of public and private security.
• Informing the members about developments on all matters of relevance to the
  Association and its members.

Legal

• Development of a legislative and regulatory framework pertaining to the field of
  private security including but not limited to professional social and legal rights and obligation of Association members.
• Assistance in creation of a framework system of professional education, training,
  advanced training and re-training in accordance with international standards in the field of private security.
• Assistance in implementation of general principles in regard to professional ethics in the field of the private security.
• Assistance to members of the Association in the development of new dimensions of the private security sector (e.g. private investigation dimension), promotion the
  creation of new work places and enterprises in the field of private security.

Promotion and publishing

• Promotion of professional services of members of the Association.
• Organizing of conferences, fairs and other events in the field of private security.
• Publishing and promoting the publication of findings of practitioners and scientific
  research results, creating access to best-practice approaches founded on an
  international basis.
• Publicizing the activities of the Association at national and international levels.

Cooperation and Coordination

• Development of cooperation and coordination on all subjects regarding the private security in BiH
• Development of cooperation and coordination with international and national
  organizations, professional associations and professional practitioners.
